In short: your Temporary Protection TIE (Ukraine conflict) stays valid until 4 March 2027 with no need to renew it.
Order INT/96/2026, of 12 February (published in the BOE on 17 February 2026) automatically extends the validity of all foreigner identity cards (TIE) already issued to beneficiaries of Temporary Protection from the Ukraine conflict.
Until when: validity is extended until 4 March 2027, in line with EU Council Implementing Decision (EU) 2025/1460 of 15 July 2025.
What to do: no new TIE application is required (literal text: "A new foreigner identity card will not be necessary"). Existing TIEs remain valid without any administrative steps.
This order continues the mechanism established by the previous Order INT/195/2025, which had extended TIEs until 4 March 2026.
