In short: a corrigendum to Implementing Decision (EU) 2026/1912 — the one extending temporary protection for people displaced from Ukraine until 4 March 2028. Published on 5 August 2026, it rectifies only two dates in the text: it does not change the extension or your rights.
What it rectifies
- Article 2 (exception to the new condition on military obligations): for "before 30 July 2026 inclusive" read "before 4 August 2026 inclusive".
- Article 3 (date from which Article 2 applies): for "from 31 July 2026" read "from 5 August 2026".
What it means in practice: the cut-off date for the exemption moves to 4 August 2026 (inclusive). Anyone who already benefited from temporary protection in a given Member State on that date, and keeps it uninterrupted in that same State, does not have to provide evidence of having fulfilled military obligations in Ukraine.
What does NOT change: the extension of temporary protection until 4 March 2028, and the rest of the Decision.
Any paperwork to do? No. This is a correction to the legal text; Member States apply the corrected dates directly.
