In short: To check Honduran DNI available in Madrid, you enter your identity number in the RNP search tool. If it shows «Madrid», you collect it at the Consulate, without appointment and in person. If nothing appears, it has not arrived yet.
In person or by representative? In person and personal. According to the Consulate, it is not mailed and nobody else can collect it for you, because your identity is verified by biometrics.
How to check
The Consulate of Honduras in Madrid lets you find out from home whether your DNI is available. You need your Honduran identity number, which appears on your passport, identity card, driving licence or birth certificate. The Consulate page links to the RNP search tool (Honduras' National Registry of Persons).
There are two possible results:
- «Madrid» appears: your DNI is already at the Consulate. Go during delivery hours.
- No information appears: your document has not arrived yet. The Consulate recommends checking again from time to time; it gives no arrival time.
If you applied in 2022, the search tool may show it as unavailable even if it is there. In that case, write to info@consuladohondurasmadrid.es so they can verify it.
Delivery hours
- Monday to Thursday: 9:00 to 14:00 and 15:00 to 16:30.
- Friday: 9:00 to 14:00. No afternoon service.
- No appointment.
- Address: Apolonio Morales 3, 28036, Madrid.
The page does not say which document to bring for delivery; confirm it with the Consulate by email before you go. If you have not enrolled yet (not applied for your DNI), see the "Enrolamiento de DNI" section of the Consulate's site. If you need the DNI for a passport, see the Honduran passport in Madrid card; for booking, the consular appointment card (DNI delivery needs no appointment).
